Cora Yamagata

Cora has over 13 years of industry experience and is licensed in MA, RI, ME, NH, CT, VT, NY, and HI. She holds a CRIS (construction risk insurance specialist) designation and specializes in property insurance solutions for investment properties, builders risks, renovations, short-term rentals, homeowners, condos, fix and flips, and fix and rents as well as other lines of insurance such as auto and business insurance.

Before starting InsuranceLab New England she managed and helped centralize the property insurance department in the GEICO South Shore office while concurrently achieving top producer each year. She also spent several years as a property and casualty insurance producer for AAA Southern California in their Hawaii office where she learned the importance of excellent customer service and front-line underwriting. She has written thousands of policies through the course of these years and has helped countless clients meet their goals of finding savings while securing quality coverage. While this has been the case, running her own agency now allows her to focus on personalized service and providing her clients the knowledge to make decisions that work best for their unique insurance needs.

Cora blends her passion for the perfoming arts with a desire to give back to the community. She is a proud member of the Boston Arts Academy Advisory Council and donates a portion of proceeds to the school as well as sponsor an annual scholarship. Other sponsorships over the past years include events produced by ABEC (Asian Business Empowerment Council), eXp Northeast Rally, GBAR/AREAA (Taste of the World), and AAIN (Asian American Insurance Network) Women's Committe and Northeast Chapter. She is also a member of AAIN's Women's Committee, AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America), and MAIA (Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents).
